Yermo, CA (July 17, 2017) - At around 6:45 a.m. on Monday, a silver Audi changed from the #1 to the #2 lane of the I-15, colliding into the left rear of a Lexus SUV.
The collision caused the SUV to lose control and roll several times into the desert. The Audi came to rest on the center median.
The driver of the SUV as well as the front passenger, both 48-year-olds, passed away from their injuries. The two rear passengers, their two teenage children, were transported to a local hospital for their injuries - the 17-year-old boy sustained two broken legs and the 15-year-old girl sustained head injuries.
The driver of the Audi was travelling with her two-year-old daughter and neither were injured in the accident.
