Palm Springs, CA (November 22, 2016) - Early Tuesday morning at around 2:00 a.m., a crash was reported on Indian Canyon Drive at Vista Chino in Palm Springs.

 

Two occupants of a damaged Honda Civic were freed by Palm Springs firefighters. They both suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Police have said that alcohol may have been involved in the accident.

 

A water main burst open causing severe water damage and erosion, as well as causing the Riviera Palm Springs to lose its water supply. As of 9:00 a.m., the hotel still had no water.

 
Northbound lanes on Indian Canyon Drive were completely closed, but the left lane reopened at 5:00 a.m. As of 6:00 a.m., the right lane remained closed with security tape and traffic cones in place.
