Apple Valley, CA (January 11, 2017) - Just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Mindy Thorp, of Lucerne Valley, was driving her 1997 Toyota Corolla westbound on Dale Evans Parkway when her vehicle entered the oncoming traffic lane.
Thorp crashed head-on into a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Ethan Cutuli of Apple Valley. The collision caused major damage to both vehicles, launching the motor of the Corolla over 50 feet away from the scene of the accident.
Thorp was pronounced dead at the scene and Cutuli passed away two hours later at a local hospital.
