Drowsy driving is a major hazard and has been known to lead to serious car accidents. Unfortunately, many people get behind the wheel when they are extremely tired. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 37 percent of drivers surveyed in one of its studies admitted to falling asleep behind the wheel. What was even more alarming is that 60 percent said that they have fallen asleep while driving on an interstate-type road.
