Our client was walking from her car to the elevator on the upper level of the parking garage of her apartment building when she slipped and fell on a trail of water.

She suffered a ⅓ distal femoral shaft fracture which required 3 surgeries. Her first surgery required a rod and 5 screws, several of which were removed 3 months later. Her most recent surgery involved an arthroscopy of her right knee which revealed a torn meniscus.

We deposed several of the defendant’s employees, including porters, leasing agents, and the building manager. We also deposed the owner of the plumbing company that does work at the premises regularly. Robert Tessier mediated the case and we recovered $650,000 to cover the client’s medical bills and pain and suffering.
