Victorville, CA (December 14, 2016) - At around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, three vehicles collided on Amargosa Road just north of Bear Valley Road.

A Nissan Altima was attempting to turn right out of the Mall of Victor Valley parking lot when a Victorville Sheriff’s deputy patrol unit impacted the vehicle as it traveled southbound on Amargosa Road.

A Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Amargosa Road and stopped at a light in the left turn lane when the Altima collided into it after being hit by the Sheriff’s unit. The Sheriff’s patrol car was sent through a fence and partially down an embankment along the I-15.

The Sheriff’s patrol car was transporting a suspect at the time of the accident. None of the involved parties suffered serious injuries. The Altima’s front end sustained major damage while the Honda was only minorly damaged.

The cause of the accident remains unclear.
