When you are making a left run, you are required to wait until it is safe to complete the turn.  For this reason, there is a good chance that you could be liable.

While the driver who is making the left turn is generally liable in a car accident, there are some exceptions.  For example, if the vehicle that was traveling straight in the opposite direction was going too fast or ran a red light, you might not be to blame for the accident.   You also may not be liable if you started your left turn when it was safe, but an event happened unexpectedly, which made you have to slow down or stop your turn.

If you think that the other driver may have caused your auto accident and you were injured in the crash, contact Steinberg Injury Lawyers at (800) 989-6385 for legal advice.  We have successfully resolved more than 12,000 injury cases and can help you with your Southern California car accident claim.
