Riverside, CA (April 26, 2017) - On Wednesday, just after 4:00 p.m., a 20-year-old man was attempting to mount his skateboard on Martin Luther King Boulevard, near Kansas Avenue.

The 20-year-old’s skateboard slipped out from under him as he tried to mount it, and it slid into traffic. He went to pick up his skateboard when he was struck by a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo.

The skateboarder was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries, where he later passed away.
