Adelanto, CA (March 8, 2017) - A teenage boy was walking a relative to cheerleading practice at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday when he was struck by a car.

The accident occurred in front of Columbia Middle School on Aster Road. A Nissan went over the curb and struck the teen, sending him into the air. The impact caused the victim to sustain severe injuries and he was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition.

Both of the Nissan’s windshields were broken as a result of the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
